Baby Shower - Squeak's First Party!

Julie's work held a fantastic baby shower for Eric, Squeak and her on Wednesday of this week. The party featured tasty treats, fun games, onesie decorating and speculation on the circumference of Julie's tummy. (Answer: 38 inches!!!) Her coworkers all brought their favorite books from childhood to start a library of books for Squeak, and Julie felt like a true preggie princess to have such a nice event.

Baby's first bed

Eric finished repainting the cradle this week, and here are shots of baby's first bed all ready to go with the bedding made by Grandma Kottke.

Squeak's Set-up

This is the baby's room. It's not all set up just for squeak yet, because we are expecting lots of guests to visit squeak before s/he's ready to fully move in, but we do have the crib and changing table/dresser ready to go.

Teletubby (aka the Mom to be)

Here's yet another belly shot. Just one month until the due date has mom feeling anxious to meet the little squeak, not to mention ready for a) a nap and b) a snack.

Getting squeak his/her own bed

Here's Eric working on sanding down the Kottke family cradle. Once it has a fresh coat of paint, we'll assemble this on its stand (it has hooks for a nice swinging motion). This will be the baby's home for the first few months until s/he moves to the crib full time.
